why are singaporeans so kan chong? like today when i was waiting for the bus at clementi mrt station. so the bus came. yeah, it was empty and i was like standing quite in front. by the time the doors opened, i was 10th in line. i was like . whats the rush, fools. and everybody rushed up the bus even though there was enough seats for everyone. like there was this damn gorgeous girl wearing an off shoulder top, she was an art or design student or something, could see from her design sketches when she was tidying them. okay i shall stop here. and yeah, so she was sitting at the bus stop like everyone else. except me. i was standing at the front of the bus stop flagging the bus. zoom. she got up before me. she moved at such pontianak like speed. thankfully there was no sweet fragrance. but that's beside the point. the point is no matter how glamourous you may be, the singaporean typicality is gonna show its ugly side.

anyway congrats to Tao Li for representing Singapore.it was good effort though, coming in 5th. saw her at 10.22am today on tv. she can do butterfly better than me. respect.

though quite ashamed at the foreign atheletes leading the singapore contingent on the opening day of the olympics. there is a sense of expectancy in the air. why do we pay them so much money for? so that they can be poster boys and girls for team singapore? the foreign talent scheme isnt working. these athletes have already shown their true allegiance. like whatshername? oh ya. lee jia wei or something like that, she clearly states that her heart is with beijing, china. well, no complains since she was born there. So is the foreign talent scheme the answer to singapore's talent shortage? actually, its not talent shortage. its talent WASTAGE. should we point fingers at the education system? which believes that a certification is the only way to survive in this country? which parents would actually let their child pursue his/her dreams at the expense of education. well is it really at the expense of education? how do you define education? how much a child knows? his level of understanding? the process of learning? or a damn bloody cert which implys "ooh! im educated!"
