Singapore - Indonesia 2-0

Singapore was lucky to get away with some sloppy defending. The 2-0 scoreline was not a really convincing performance by the singapore side. It was very apparent that Singapore was playing a very defensive strategy and focused on counter attacks, long balls and set pieces. The Indonesians on the other hand, played free flowing football and the possession clearly shows. However, they were unlucky to convert the many chances they had. Unlike singapore, which only scored from set-pieces.

Agu Casmir was virtually non-existant throughout the game. The lone striker was constantly marked and surrounded by the two indonesian centre-backs.
Dont know who the malay wingers were. forgot. but no impact on the game...
Shi jiayi and johnny wikinson, central midfielders, were okay, although they were out matched and out played and out witted by their indonesian counterparts who controlled the midfield.. but yeah, they had to do the dirty job. jiayi scored from a freekick. good shot. quick shot around the wall.
right back. i think nor rahman. good performance. focused. neutralized indonesian attack from the left flank effectively.
centre backs. baihakki and precious. did okay. with baihakki scoring a header. it was a strong finish. classic textbook header.
left back. david benett. sloppy playing. prone to concentration laspes. nearly gave away a goal. thanks to lionel lewis who saved the ball.
Goalkeeper. lionel lewis. did okay. with good saves. not fantastic though, was caught off the line in a few instances.

overall indonesia played better. but, in the end, only the results count.
